That sure was some AU you wrote there.

Well, huh. I know it's sci-fi, but when your show's writers make this kind of alternate universe crack canon, that's just... wow. I'm sure it was fun for folks on the show to produce, though about 10 minutes in, I started singing to the TV, "WE'RE GONNA NEED A MONTAGE!" However, that tune in my head has been replaced by the Neil Diamond earworm version of "Solitary Man". (Not that the Johnny Cash version wasn't awesome, but Neil's is the one I grew up with.)

One thing that made me laugh was during the first scene with Sheppard and McKay together. Up until this point, Sheppard has this soft tough-guy rasp of a voice. McKay mentions that he's met another version of Sheppard, and suddenly he sounds like the AFLAC duck, blurting "What?"

And the episode was preeeeety.
