Emmys vs. Shmemmys

This past weekend I caught both the Creative Arts Emmys (a.k.a. The Emmys No One Cares About) and the "popular" Emmys. Boy, someone did a massive editing job on the former -- only two hours with commercials, no preview of nominees (except for Guest Actors and Actresses), significantly snipped acceptance speeches (if they left them in at all), and occasional mass distribution of awards (e.g. Achievements in Animation (Yay, Avatar and Robot Chicken!)). I was torn between thinking, "But who were the other nominees? And hey, show all of the winners' speeches!" and "I wish it was going to be like this on Sunday night."

And now Kathy Griffin has new non-Emmy-loser material for her act.
