I haven't played "Mirror's Edge", but I dig this art by Bill Mudron of its main character, Faith, chatting with Chell from "Portal". Women! Who are not white! That are main characters of video games! Hanging out together! And prints are for sale.

After all the hoops I jumped through to get "Portal" for free, it turns out my computer doesn't meet the minimum reqs. Which is disappointing but not surprising as it's not really a computer for gaming. Guess I'll have to get a used copy of "The Orange Box" after all.

I'm cautious about the upcoming movie but am tickled about the Lego computer game. (All my fandoms should be Lego computer games.)

Good news: I resisted purchasing Mass Effect, and hope that playing Knights of the Old Republic will tide me over.

Not great news: "NaPaWriMo" didn't really get off the ground. At all.

I thought I was getting caught up in the Mass Effect gaming hype, and I just recently talked myself out* of needing to pre-order the limited edition and get the bonus disk material (repeats to self, "I can always get it on eBay..."). Then I find out about this game that's due next fall, and I lost my soul.
