The Golden Compass (no spoilers)

Saw this movie earlier in the month. I haven't read the books, so I figured there'd be background info I wouldn't get. The movie was meh, and I have the suspicion that we won't be getting Books 2 and 3. Daniel Craig was not in the movie long enough. During the boring parts I kept looking at Nicole Kidman's wardrobe and critiquing the computer graphics. I didn't expect Derek Jacobi and Christopher Lee to be in it, though. As the closing credits rolled I leaned over to one of my friends and said, "It's like the Master meets Dracula. Pure eeeevil!"
