Movies new and old (very vague spoilers)

Went to see Kung Fu Panda at the discount theater ('cause, you know, $2) and checked out Escape from New York from the library. (I might start using Middleman references as a starting point for plugging some of the gaps in my pop culture knowledge.) KFP was cute and worth the matinee. I loved the animation on Masters Shifu and Oogway, and the "food fight" was fun. EfNY didn't really float my boat. Maybe I've see too many dystopian settings since it was originally released, but at least it was good to see the source material for all the Snake Plissken tributes.
