Not ignoring the big picture, but...

A) Is it "a historic moment" or "an historic moment"? In spite of the Stewart/Colbert tag-team last night, I think it's the former since you should hear the "h" in "historic", though as my boss said, "It's historic enough for both."

B) Not related to the election but to English: I think I've reached my limit for tolerating fandom's creation of silly-sounding portmanteau words to describe its favorite pairings.
